Flight to New Orleans con't...

Jack Share and I appreciated very much the fact that Malcolm has friends such as David Lavine that contribute so much time to Public Service and  that Malcolm picked us to join him on your recent flight in your twin engine Beachcraft airplane  hosting and convoying us to visit the World War II Museum in New Orleans.
This was a memorable and emotional experience for all of us.

This refocused our memories as well as our thanks to the WWII service men and  women even more so and wishing all of  them good health  in their declining years as we are among the last 10%  of the remaining  16,000,000  men and women that served our country during  WWII.  So many...... such as Jack Share (our fellow passenger) that lost his foot in combat....... gave so much for our freedom .......are due even more respect.

We members of the Lone Star Honor Flight have  received so much adulation and public expression of thanks for our WWII service that we only recently  have become aware of a re awaking  in the USA of  respect for the military. Particularly so here in Montgomery due to the imagination, hard  work and execution by Mrs Bevens and her fellow teachers and their Principal Dwayne in stimulating the students and  obtaining the support of the School Board raised enough money to send almost 400 WWII Veterans to view the WWII War Memorial in Washington, DC........ so far the only town in Texas to do so.

The living veterans of WWII now have a half life of two to three years so we are vanishing rapidly.

We also have become aware of " GRACE FLIGHT " and that some 1300 members across the United States contribute so much time, money , skills and their airplanes to help those in need of medical attention and your efforts to recognize veterans.

Since you are the President of  GRACE  FLIGHT  please extend our thanks and good wishes to your members  for the humanitarian efforts of  GRACE  FLIGHT to aid your fellow man.

If you and any or all of your fellow  Grace  Flight volunteers can make it to the Montgomery High School Auditorium on March the 6th at 3:00 PM for the Premier Viewing of Malcolm Pepper's video documenting the "Third Lone Star Honor Flight' you will see a very moving and professional presentation which forever documents the efforts of this little town of Montgomery to teach history and create patriotism in our young adults.

With Our Warmest Regards And Thanks.......... Randy Montgomery.
